MUSICQUEST Details

• Auditions are open to any individual or band under the age of 20
   

• Send a 60 second audition video to dB's L.I.V.E. through any one of the following methods:
   

  • Follow this link, MUSICQUEST Audition Application, and complete the application.  Send the application along with a link to your 60 second video of your individual or band audition performance.
     

  • Alternatively, you may print the application and email the application and 60 second audition video to dbslivemusic@gmail.com. Make sure your video has your name in the filename of the video.  You can email the video via the Send Anywhere app.
     

  • **Before applying go to our Facebook (@LapeerDBsLIVE) or Instagram account, icons below, Follow and Like the dB's L.I.V.E. page or MUSICQUEST post.  Include your social media name with your application.
     

  • If you have any problems applying contact us at the email address below.
     

• Up to 20 individuals or groups will be selected to go on to the second round of auditions, competing to  perform in one of the four onstage slots during Summerfest.   The second round of auditions will take place on June 24th immediately before Summerfest 2018 begins.  
   

• The second round auditions will be judged by a panel of Deb Barber and two other individuals (To be named)
   

• Second auditions will be judged on musical technique & performance quality.  Interaction and response from surrounding individuals will also be considered....so feel free to bring friends and family to support you!
   

• Four individuals will be selected from second round auditions to perform that day in one of the four MUSICQUEST performance slots.  Individuals and bands who qualify for the second round auditions will be sent information on technical details of performing on the Summerfest stage.
   

• IN ADDITION....

• Out of the original applicants, multiple applicants will be chosen to perform at the end of Summerfest in a group number with Frame 42, performing "Separate Ways" by Journey. 

• Come prepared! Applicants will find out during Summerfest whether they have been chosen to perform in the Separate Ways number.

• **If applicants would like to audition to perform in the "Separate Ways" number with Frame 42, but do not want to be considered for an individual performance slot, they can choose that option when they are contacted that they have passed the first audition. 

• Alternatively, applicants an also opt out of the Frame 42 performance if they only want to be considered for an individual performance.

• This is another excellent way to get a performance opportunity and exposure through our social media.
   

• ALSO...Four applicants from the initial audition pool will be chosen to receive a one hour consultation with 4-time Grammy Nominee, Deb Barber (at a later date).

We are excited to see  all of the talented individuals who have been waiting for their shot. 

 

This is an opportunity that won't come up often, and you never know who will end up seeing your performance,  so don't delay. 
 

Audition applications and videos are due by June 11th!
